How to convert CSV to JSON

Drop your CSV file on the page.
Keep the default query to convert everything, or edit it to pick columns and rows.
Press Copy as JSON or Download as JSON.

Because the conversion runs through SQL, you can reshape the data before exporting it:

Numbers are detected automatically and written as JSON numbers. Empty cells become null. The first row of the file is used as the property names.

Is my CSV file uploaded when I convert it to JSON?

No. The conversion happens in your browser, and this page blocks network requests, so your data stays on your device.

How are numbers and empty cells converted?

Numeric values become JSON numbers and empty cells become null. Everything else is written as text.

Can I convert only some columns?

Yes. Edit the SQL query to select the columns you need, for example SELECT name, email FROM data, then export the result.
